Then, when I'm done with it, I can just take the board down and I won't have to paint over all that black!Diane at Perfectly Imperfect Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028268946199140690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579907652198630697.post-6939323747583895462010-10-25T20:03:29.813-05:002010-10-25T20:03:29.813-05:00Love it!Love it!Love it!

The dust is relative to how often they erase and change what is on there. She typically changes her sayings, homework assignments and calendar on hers once a week, so not too bad. It mostly ends up on the top of the baseboard and with a quick sweep of the vaccum wand, it is up in no time. Beware, colored chalk will make a bit more of a mess...but it's still not too bad. It does however take at least 3 coats (rolled) to get good coverage, then it has to cure for at least 3 days, then be seasoned...THIS IS THE REALLY MESSY PART, but you only have to do it once. While the paint is not that expensive, it isn't as cheap as regular paint and remember it takes several coats. We had set out to have the wall be magnetic as well, but it didn't work as planned. You can read about it here:

http://simplylkj.blogspot.com/2010/07/magnetic-primer.html

I have a smaller framed chalkboard I made in our kitchen that I love, we really didn't have a good "wall" for one in there.Lauren (SimplyLKJ)http://simplylkjblogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579907652198630697.post-49489772210837854302010-10-19T05:21:32.151-05:002010-10-19T05:21:32.151-05:00I love it... although I have yet to paint somethin...I love it... although I have yet to paint something with it :-/KLMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12693335306875099367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579907652198630697.post-50753166027396894782010-10-19T01:30:10.809-05:002010-10-19T01:30:10.809-05:00definitely LOVE it! i'm a big fan of doing do...definitely LOVE it! i'm a big fan of doing doors (both of my two recent kitchens couldn't handle that much on an entire wall - too dark). but the tray - that I'm going to do soon! plus ... trends - who needs 'em. you just have to keep what you have long enough - eventually it comes back. just be yourself :)peawinkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17775307842178822859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579907652198630697.post-54297995168271197942010-10-19T01:29:50.227-05:002010-10-19T01:29:50.227-05:00I adore that first image - it looks SO effective. ...I adore that first image - it looks SO effective.
